Bringing communities together: knowledge transfer, expo, networking

The GeoDPA conference is the new, unique exchange forum that brings together both producers of geodata and their users across disciplines and topics for the first time.

How do we want to make the best possible use of the digital transformation for geo-relevant topics such as transport, energy, space, aviation and security? How do we want to manage the heterogeneous and enormous amount of available data and make it available as required? And how do we want to integrate and network de facto technologies? These and many other questions will be answered at the new international DLR community conference: the International Conference on Geoinformation Data, Processing and Applications (GeoDPA).

Under the leadership of DLR institute on Transportation Systems, DLR institute on Networked Energy Systems, DLR institute on Remote Sensing Technology, the German Remote Sensing Data Center and DLR institute on Protection of Terrestrial Infrastructures, around 20 DLR institutes involved in the DLR Digital Atlas 2.0 project and the Emissionslandkarte (ELK) impulse project are jointly organizing the DLR GeoDPA 2024 in Oldenburg.

The conference will include thematic sessions from the following areas as well as the opportunity to visit four DLR facilities in Bremen, Bremerhaven and Oldenburg.

Transport standardization, maps for autonomous driving, mobility and transport, road, maritime, railway
Energy solar forecast and ressource assessment, energy metereology, energy infrastructure and transition
Space satellite navigation, earth observation, weather forecasting, crises response
Aviation flight planning, air traffic control, drone navigation
Security disaster management, crime investigation, rescue services, risk analysis
